What’s Happening in Our Market Right Now?
Despite the fact that some consider fall to be an off-season for real estate, many buyers and sellers actually go under contract at this time of year. It’s much more active than some might assume. And this year, in particular, low interest rates make it a great time to make a move.
Buyers will also be happy to hear that prices are softening. To illustrate just how much of an impact this has had, consider the following:
Last year I sold a home on a particular street for about $500,000. This year, a home on that very same street with a finished basement (something my listing didn’t have) sold for nearly $100,000 less. And this is just one example of how the ongoing market shift has impacted local real estate.
Now that we’ve gone over some happenings in our market, allow me to remind you of our team’s upcoming Fall Fest event on October 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Historic Bulloch Hall. If you haven’t already RSVPed, please do so ASAP. We can’t wait to see you there.
As always, if you have any other questions or would like more information, feel free to give us a call or send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
